AIRPORT EXPRESS SERVICE ROLLS OUT NEW GREEN LUXURY OPTION

Pacific Western Transportation today unveiled a fleet of state-of-the-art motor coaches for its Airport Express service that offers an environmentally-friendly, affordable and prestigious connection between downtown and Lester B. Pearson Airport.

The new fleet of state-of-the-art coaches also turn what was already a green option into the green option for getting to the airport. The new coaches:

• Help reduce smog - state-of-the-art EPA 07 engines produce 55 per cent less nitrogen oxide (NOx) and 90 per cent less particulate matter (soot etc.) than previous generation coaches.

• Boast tremendous fuel efficiency - Airport Express can provide 1.3 litres per 100 passenger kilometres, compared to 8.4 litres per 100 passenger kilometres for a car with a single occupant – more than six times more efficient.
• Shrink the carbon footprint – a fully occupied coach takes 54 cars off the road and reduces CO2 emissions by roughly 85 per cent for each and every passenger.
