Transport Canada Announces
Revised Carry-On Luggage Regulations

 

Toronto, January 20^th 2010 -   Effective January 20^th passengers are now allowed to take one piece of carry-on luggage on board flights bound for the United States. Transport Canada regulations state the passenger's carry-on luggage must fall within the prescribed dimensions of: 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm. The one carry-on may be taken on board the aircraft in addition to previously permitted items.

Previously permitted items include:

Small purses

Cameras

Coats

Medications

containers carrying life sustaining items

special needs items

Items for the care of small children

Laptop computers

Canes/walkers
