Important Service Update - G20 Summit
Toronto, June 18th 2010 - Toronto motorists should expect closures and route restrictions on the highways in and around Toronto beginning Thursday June 24th to Sunday June 27th due to G20 security operations. Drivers should avoid these routes during this time if possible, public transit is the best transportation alternative. Signs will be posted along the highway corridors to advise motorists of the closures, restrictions and anticipated significant delays.
The following series of Toronto roadways will be affected by G20 road restrictions and closures:
- Highway 401
- Highway 427
- Highway 27
- Gardiner Expressway
- Don Valley Parkway
- Eglinton Avenue West
- Lakeshore Boulevard
- Other roadways within the area of King Street, Yonge Street, Queens Quay and Spadina Avenue will experience closures or restrictions.
