Toronto, August 11th 2010 - Throughout the next four months Toronto's Gardiner Expressway will be subject to lane restrictions due to the Lake Shore and Jameson Ave. bridge rehabilitation project. The Gardiner Expressway will be reduced to two lanes of traffic in both directions to accommodate construction efforts. Additionally the Gardiner Expressway will be completely closed on the weekends of September 18th and October 2nd.
The Gardiner Expressway plays an important role within the Toronto Airport Express shuttle route. Due to continuing construction along the Gardiner Expressway, Toronto Airport Express shuttles are running approximately 20 minutes late between the hours of 3pm and 8pm. Travelers are urged to allow for extra time traveling between downtown Toronto and Lester B. Pearson Airport. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
